Greg MacArthur
I attended Dodge College of Film & Media Arts at Chapman University as an undergrad majoring in Film Production with an emphasis in Directing. I have worked for top clients and companies such as ABC Digital Media Studio, Lawrence Bender Productions, TNT, ESPN, NBC, TBS, Allen & Gerritsen, and Conductor Productions.
Every day, I approach the world with a creative eye. I observe and absorb as much as I can so that I may reflect a human quality and natural aesthetic in my work. I capture as much as I can through the lens and frame. And when that's not enough, I pick up the pen.
Beginning my freelancing career in Boston is a dream come true. It is an unprecedented time to live in such a historic city. After my time in California, I decided to bring the skills and experience I have developed back to the East Coast, where I was born and raised.
My passion lies in telling human stories through film, television, and visual platforms. As a director of a handful of short films, I enjoy discussing motivations and psychology of characters with actors. As a cinematographer, my goal is to create the most compelling frame imaginable to aid in the storytelling. As a writer, I seek honesty and poetry in existential prose, tackling difficult subjects of philosophy and purpose. As an editor, I am diligent and relentlessly meticulous in the selection of the frames, cuts, and overall rhythm. As a composer, I am learning how a cinematic score can reveal lesser known parts of a character.
As a visual content creator, I wish to collaborate and do whatever I can to help bring your vision to life.
